Jomtien offers numerous restaurants, and although quieter than Pattaya, does have a wide and varied nightlife, including sports bars, music, cabaret and family orientated establishments - there is plenty of entertainment on offer and something for everyone.
In the area you can also find many beauty salons, massage parlors, and a range of shops and markets offering items such as clothing, souvenirs and fresh fruit and vegetables. In addition to Thepprasit Night Market there is also Jomtien Night Market, located on Jomtien Beach Road, open every evening from 6pm.
Jomtien is a fantastic base from which to explore Pattaya and its many attractions such as Pattaya Floating Market, Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden and the Sanctuary of Truth. From Jomtien Beach Road a short ride on the Baht Bus will take you into Central Pattaya, which offers an abundance of shops, restaurants and bars, a vibrant night life, plenty of tourist attractions to keep you entertained - there is also 4 km of sandy beach offering various water sports and trips to the nearby scenic island of Koh Larn (Coral Island) with it's white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters providing an excellent opportunity for snorkeling.
Exploring further afield you will find many tour agents offering a variety of day trips and longer excursions to attractions such as Angkor Wat in Cambodia, Bangkok, Erawan National Park and the Bridge over the River Kwai.
