Although quieter than Pattaya, Jomtien also provides a wide and varied nightlife, including sports bars, entertainment and music venues, cabaret shows and family orientated establishments - you can even find Super Town, Jomtien's Walking Street. There is plenty of entertainment on offer in Jomtien with something for everyone.
Jomtien is a lovely beach area to the south of Pattaya, offering a 6 km uninterrupted sandy beach, ideal for relaxing on a beach chair, where drinks and food can be purchased from the beach vendors. There are also many water sports on offer along the beach including scuba diving, wind surfing, banana boating, parasailing, jet skiing and deep sea fishing to name a few.
There are a host of amenities in the area, including beauty salons; massage parlors, shops and markets offering items such as clothing, souvenirs and fresh fruit and vegetables.
Jomtien is home to 2 great night markets, one located on Beach Road (Jomtien Night Market) that is open nightly from 6pm and popular for its many cheap food stalls, but also offers traditional market wares including clothing and mementos. The second and larger night market is Thepprasit Night Market, which is held every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening, is well worth a visit - this is one of Pattaya's largest markets with many stalls offering a variety of wares, including clothing, foot ware, electronics, handbags and souvenirs to name a few, and a large food area where you can sample a huge range of delicious authentic Thai street food.
Laguna Beach Resort 2 Pattaya is a great base from which to explore Pattaya and the many attractions on offer, such as Pattaya Floating Market, Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden and the Sanctuary of Truth.
For just 10 baht you can take the baht bus from Jomtien Beach Road into Central Pattaya, where you can find an array of shops, restaurants, bars, a vibrant night life and plenty of tourist attractions to keep you entertained.
