THE BUYING PROCESS

Foreigner’s Guide to Buying a Condo in Thailand

Simple and Straightforward Ownership: Foreigners can legally own up to 49% of a condominium’s total area (excluding shared spaces), making it an accessible option.

1. Placing a Deposit:
Once you’ve picked the condo you want, secure it by placing a deposit. This shows your commitment and kick-starts the buying process. At this stage, we work with our Lawyers to prepare the purchase contract or set up the Easy Payment Plan agreement.

2. Reviewing the Contract:
After the contract is drafted, you’ll have time to go through it and make sure everything meets your expectations before signing.

3. Title Deeds (Chanote):
The Chanote is the official title deed for your property. One copy is kept at the District Land Office for registration, and the other is handed to you as the new owner.

If you’re using an Easy Payment Plan, the Chanote will be held securely until you’ve completed all payments, at which point it’s transferred to you.
